Whether you are looking for a friendly, home-from-home place to stay while visiting friends or family in the area, or if you prefer the self-check-in option of the business traveller.We have 4 rooms full of home comforts. 2 are situated on the ground floor, allowing easy access for the less mobile and 2 on the first floor. Each room has a private en-suite bathroom, equipped with towels, complimentary toiletries and bottled water, a high pressure shower, low-level WC and sink. Tea and coffee making facilities are supplied. We also supply a hairdryer in each room so you never have to worry about packing your own. The luxury of a full length mirror in all our rooms also adds to the homely feel.Each room has a flat-screen TV with Freeview and desk working area with an office chair. Free WIFI is available throughout the property. Our beautiful shutter blinds give you the privacy from the outside as well as allowing in the natural light. They also provide the perfect blackout option at night for that peaceful night’s sleep.Our dining area situated on the ground floor, offers tea and coffee whilst enjoying the breakfast options we have to offer 7 days a week. It was remodelled to its present configuration in the mid-17th century with the addition of a classical portico and summerhouse, firsts of their kind in England.Visitors will encounter 500 year-old Majolica tiles, Renaissance stained glass, and exquisite wood carvings in the Tudor chapel and period linen-fold panelling in the oak gallery. The house holds treasures collected by the Chute family, including furniture, tapestries and paintings, Murano glass and silk wall hangings. Stroll through rooms once enjoyed by notable guests like Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, Horace Walpole, and Jane Austen.The house is set in 13 acres of beautiful, relaxing gardens.
